Cross Country Planning Tips

Hey Guys!

My family and I are currently planning for our summer of 2019 cross country RV trip! So exciting, right? But SO MUCH pre-planning. I'm hoping to give you guys some pointers to make your next road trip less of a hassle than ours is:)

One thing that has helped us sooo much in our planning is the website https://roadtrippers.com. I promise I am not just trying to advertise for this site, Roadtrippers is truly a really helpful tool to have. Roadtrippers lets you create your own personalized road trip map, including each stop you'd like to make along the way and how long you have to travel between stops. It also includes how much you're going to have to pay in gas for your trip, how many hours you will spend driving and much more personalized information that would take you hours to calculate on you own.

Another thing we've found helpful is creating a spreadsheet that has every stop we'd like to make, how much it costs to visit, visiting hours, and any additional info. This helps to consolidate all of our information onto one easy to manage sheet, though it does take some time to create.

Lastly I would suggest that you talk with friends or family that have been on a cross country trip or other road trip, or look into other blogs. We have a few friends who have gone on cross country trips and they have been happy to sit down and give us many helpful tips!
