Zootastic Park Animal Encounter
Hey Everyone! I wanted to share this AMAZING experience with you because most zoos don't offer it! Zootastic Park seems like a quaint NC zoo at first glance, but wait until you get inside. Now, the zoo itself is awesome because you can walk right up to the enclosures of most of the animals(and pet them), which is hard to find at some zoos, however the real draw to this little park is the Animal Encounter! The zoo's unique Animal Encounter program allows you and up to 9 other people in your group to have an up close and personal relationship with some of the zoo's baby animals! While I was there I got to hold a baby spider monkey, a baby kangaroo, and a kinkajou(I didn't know what this was before, but they are so cool). Yes, that sweet baby kangaroo IS wearing a diaper;) This is a kinkajou - never seen one before, but SO friendly!
